Resident Artists Show 2016-2017
Mili Dunn Weiss Gallery
Cheltenham Center for the Arts
May 21st-June 10th
In the world of the 24 hour news cycle, media billboards, and continuous barrage of visual stimuli, Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow is time suspended. Referencing both Manet’s Le Dejeuner sur l’herbe, and Shakespeare’s Macbeth, we encounter an ominously still picnic scene, where the only movement is the sound of nightingales and ravens. The forms exemplify the state of being in between different worlds, both those real and those imagined.
